Delhi fire : 3 killed, 6 injured after massive fire breaks out in food processing factory in Narela


Delhi fire : In a horrific and dreadful incident, three people killed and  six injured after a massive fire broke out in a food processing factory in Delhi on Friday. 


A fire erupted in a food processing factory in North Delhi's Narela Industrial Area on Saturday early morning. 

The fire, which started in the early hours of the morning, quickly engulfed the factory located in the densely populated area of Narela.

The police received a PCR call regarding the incident at around 3:35 am, following which they promptly arrived at the Shayam Kripa Foods PVT LTD, where the fire had broken out.

Nine individuals were present inside the factory at the time of the incident. They were swiftly transported to SHRC Hospital in Narela for medical treatment. 

Three of the injured individuals succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the hospital, as confirmed by the police.

Initial investigations by the police revealed that the fire originated while raw moong was being roasted on gas burners, leading to a gas leak in one of the pipelines. This leakage triggered the fire, causing the compressor to overheat and resulting in a subsequent blast.

The deceased victims were identified as Shyam (24), Ram Singh (30), and Beerpa (42), while the injured individuals were identified as Pushpender (26), Akash (19), Mohit Kumar (21), Ravi Kumar (19), Monu (25), and Lalu (32).

The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law and have commenced an investigation into the matter.

This tragic fire underscores the urgent need for comprehensive fire safety reforms and the implementation of robust safety measures to protect workers in all industries
