Delhi excise policy case: Arvind Kejriwal responds to ED summons, willing to answer post March 12

PTC News Desk: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) disclosed on Monday that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has responded to the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Despite asserting the illegality of the summons, Kejriwal has expressed his willingness to cooperate and provide answers.

According to the AAP, Kejriwal has requested a date for the interaction with the ED after March 12. It has been stated that he will participate in the proceedings via video conferencing.

Kejriwal's non-compliance with multiple summonses from the Enforcement Directorate has been attributed to his stance on their legality. He has consistently maintained that the summonses are unlawful and has urged the agency to await the resolution of the matter in court.

Reaffirming his stance, the Chief Minister reiterated his readiness to engage with the probe agency despite his reservations about the legality of the summons.

In addition to the ED summons, Kejriwal is also expected to appear before a city court on March 16. The court has directed him to attend in person in response to a complaint filed by the ED concerning his failure to respond to previous summonses.
