PTC News Desk: The AAP on Thursday announced that Atishi will take oath as Delhi Chief Minister on Saturday. The party had previously announced that only Atishi would take oath, however, it was later decided that her council of ministers would also take the oath.

Atishi will replace Arvind Kejriwal, who resigned from the office on Tuesday.

According to party sources, all sitting ministers will be retained in the new Delhi Cabinet, while two new members are likely join the government. As per sources, incumbents Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Imran Hussain would be retained, while new faces could be Karol Bagh MLA Vishesh Ravi or Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar.

Arvind Kejriwal tendered his resignation on Tuesday to Delhi Lt Governor V K Saxena. Kejriwal will also give up security and leave the chief minister's residence in 15 days to live as a "commoner".

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh announced on Wednesday that Arvind Kejriwal would vacate his official bungalow within 15 days after his resignation as Delhi Chief Minister is formally accepted. Sanjay Singh raised concerns about Kejriwal’s security, citing previous attacks on him.

“At the press conference, we stressed the importance of security for Arvind Kejriwal, but he seems unconcerned, believing God will protect him,” said Sanjay Singh, adding that Kejriwal had spent six months in jail with dangerous criminals and is now choosing to live among the public. Arvind Kejriwal’s future residence is still undecided, but Sanjay Singh mentioned that with the love and support of the people, a suitable home would be found.
