Deadly mishap in Jammu: 10 dead as Katra-bound bus rolls down gorge
Srinagar, May 30: In a devastating incident near Jajjar Kotli area, approximately 15 km away from the pilgrimage site of Katra in Reasi district, a bus transporting devotees to the revered Vaishno Devi shrine met with a fatal accident.

Reports from the authorities confirm that eight individuals lost their lives, while an additional 16 passengers sustained injuries and were promptly taken to the hospital. Among the injured, some are reported to be in critical condition.

The ill-fated bus, en route from Amritsar, tragically veered off a bridge on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway. The mishap occurred in close proximity to Jajjar Kotli, prompting an immediate response from local authorities and rescue teams. The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at the Government Medical College in Jammu, as investigations into the incident continue.
