Mumbai (Maharashtra), April 9: A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Mumbai Crime Branch police has arrested an IIT-Bombay student in connection to the suicide of an 18-year-old student of the same institute.

According to Mumbai police, a case has been registered under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. Armaan Iqbal Khatri, the accused student, was detained based on a suicide note recovered from the deceased's dorm room, in which he blamed Armaan for him taking the drastic decision of ending his life.
