Maharashtra Assembly polls: Congress suspends 28 rebel candidates for 'anti-party activities'
PTC News Desk: Ahead of Maharashtra assembly elections, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee has suspended seven additional rebel candidates for anti-party activities. With the latest expulsion the tally for suspended candidates has now reached 28 across 22 constituencies.
The newly suspended leaders include -- Shamkant Saner, Rajendra Thakur, Aba Bagul, Manish Anand, Suresh Kumar Jethliya, Kalyan Borade, and Chandrapaul Chauksey.
The names in the list of expelled candidates include, Anandrao Gedam, Shilu Chimurkar, Sonal Kove, Bharat Yereme, Abhilasha Gavature, Premsagar Ganvir, Ajay Lanjewar, Vilas Patil, Aasma Javad Chikhlekar, Hanskumar Pandey, Kamal Vyavhare, Mohanrav Dandekar, Mangal Vilas Bhujval, Manoj Shinde, Suresh Patilkhede, Vijay Khadse, Shabir Khan, Avinash Lad, Yagvalya Jichkar, Raju Jhode, and Rajendra Mukah.
They are contesting against the official nominees of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The voting for 288 constituencies is scheduled to take place on November 20 and results will be announced on November 23.
