Commercial LPG Cylinder prices slashes by Rs 7 ahead of Union Budget

On January 1, the price of commercial LPG cylinders was reduced by Rs 14.50, from Rs 1,818.50 to Rs 1,804.

Commercial LPG Cylinder prices slashes by Rs 7 ahead of Union Budget

PTC News Desk: Ahead of Union Budget 2025, Oil marketing companies have lowered the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 7, effective today, in anticipation of the Union Budget 2025-26. This marks the second consecutive month of price reductions for commercial LPG cylinders. 


As of today, the retail price for a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 1,797, down from Rs 1,804. This change comes just before Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presents the Union Budget for the eighth consecutive year.

The prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders have remained stable. In Delhi, the price for a domestic LPG cylinder is Rs 803, while in Kolkata it’s Rs 829, in Mumbai Rs 802, and in Chennai Rs 818. The prices for both commercial and domestic LPG cylinders are adjusted on the first day of each month.

On January 1, the price of commercial LPG cylinders was reduced by Rs 14.50, from Rs 1,818.50 to Rs 1,804.

Before that, the price of commercial LPG cylinders was increased by Rs 16.50 on December 1, as reported by Business Today, India Today's sister publication.

Earlier, on November 1, oil marketing companies raised the price of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 62, bringing the rate to Rs 1,802 in Delhi. On October 1, the price had been increased by Rs 48.50, bringing it to Rs 1,740 from Rs 1,691.50.
