Cold wave to grip Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana; temperature plummets
As cold wave continues to grip several parts of norther region, dense fog has been predicted in parts of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana till December 17 hence reducing visibility.
A significant drop in the national capital has deen recorded with temperature at 4.9 degree celsius. The cold weather is also accompanied by worsening pollution levels, as the Air Quality Index remains in the 'poor category'.
A similar situation is persisting in parts of Punjab and Haryana as states experiencing freezing temperatures intensifying chilly weather. The situation in Rohtak and Ambala was comparitively bettwe with temperature recorded at 5. and 5.7 degree celcius.
On the other hand Chandigarh, capital of both Punjab and Haryana has been witnessing dense fod with plummeting temperatures gripped with cold wave.
