Clean water to subsidised travel: Arvind Kejriwal's 15 guarantees in poll manifesto
PTC News Desk: The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday released its manifesto ahead of assembly elections while promising clean water, subsidised travel fare for students. AAP supremo has announced 15 guarantees or Kejriwal ki guarantees' - a spin on the Bharatiya Janata Party's 'Modi ki guarantees'.
The manifesto centered around social welfare schemes, employment generation, and improvements in public services.
The first promise, according to Kejriwal, is to create more job opportunities. Arvind Kejriwal acknowledged official data showing that unemployment in the capital is low, at just 2 percent, compared to the national average of 6 percent. However, he emphasized that even one unemployed person is too many.
"I want no one in Delhi to remain unemployed," he said. "When our children study and cannot find work, it causes great distress," he added.
While admitting that he failed to clean Yamuna, Kejriwal vowed that he will clean the river in the next years, if elected.
