Children among 5 dead in Ghaziabad house fire
PTC Web Desk: A massive fire erupted in a Ghaziabad house, killing five people including a seven-month-old child.
Last night, a huge fire broke out at a house in the Behta Hajipur village in the Loni border area in Ghaziabad district, according to authorities.
The fire was put out and two injured people, including a mother and child, were taken to the hospital, according to Ghaziabad's Additional Police Commissioner Dinesh Kumar P.
He stated, "Late in the night (June 12), we received information that a fire had broken out in a house in the Loni area and people were trapped. When police and firefighters received the information, they went to the site right away."
Dinesh P revealed more details about the unfortunate incident, saying, "A mother and a child were injured and have been taken to the hospital. The fire moved from the ground to the upper floors. The people on the first and second floors were trapped. Five people have died, and they are being identified. The deceased included children, adults, as well as old people. The incident also claimed the lives of a seven-year-old girl and a seven-month-old child."
The Additional Police Commissioner stated that the cause of the fire would be determined following an investigation, adding, "According to some witnesses, there were foam cubes in the house, and as a result, the fire spread more aggressively. However, the real cause of the fire will be determined in the morning after an investigation."
