Chandigarh Elante Mall accident: Tiles from pillar fall on child actress Maisha Dixit, her aunt

PTC Web Desk:  In a shocking incident at Chandigarh's Elante Mall, 13-year-old child actress Maisha Dixit and her aunt, Surbhi, were injured when tiles from a pillar fell on them while they were celebrating Maisha's birthday. The accident occurred in the mall's public area, which has since been cordoned off. Maisha Dixit, known for her roles in popular TV shows like 'Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka', 'Mishthi Khanna', and 'Mata Vaishno Devi - Kahani Matarani Ki', resides with her family in Sector 22.

The family had gone to the Elante Mall to celebrate Maisha's birthday and were walking around when the accident took place around 4 pm. Fortunately, both Maisha and her aunt received prompt medical attention. Maisha was scheduled to start shooting a new project on October 1, but due to her injuries, the schedule may be delayed. Her family said while she was recovering, it would take some time for her to fully heal.

Elante Mall management expressed regret over the incident, stating that they immediately provided assistance to the victims and are cooperating with the authorities for a thorough investigation. They are conducting an internal safety review to prevent such accidents in the future. Inspector Jaspal Singh Bhullar confirmed the incident and assured that both victims are now stable.

This isn’t the first accident at Elante Mall. Three months ago, a toy train overturned in the mall, resulting in the tragic death of an 11-year-old boy named Shahbaz. The incident occurred on June 23, when the train derailed, causing Shahbaz to fall and sustain severe injuries. He was rushed to Sector 32 Hospital, where he died during treatment.
