PTC News Desk: A two-storey building collapsed in Gujarat's Junagadh city on Monday and many are feared trapped.

The NDRF and SDRF teams have arrived on the scene, and search and rescue operations are underway.

Meanwhile, this comes a day after the city experienced severe rainfall and flooding. Junagadh recorded 241 mm of rainfall in the 24-hour period ending at 6 a.m. on Sunday, creating waterlogging in various areas, wrecked cars piled on top of one other, and cattle carcasses washed away in flash floods.

According to the IMD, severe to very heavy rains have been anticipated for today in the Saurashtra districts of Porbandar and Dwarka. According to the IMD, heavy rains in isolated locations are highly likely in the Gujarat districts of Anand, Bharuch, and Surat, as well as in the Saurashtra-Kutch districts of Jamnagar and Kutch.

On Sunday, the IMD issued an 'orange' signal for Gujarat, stating that "heavy to very heavy rainfall" was forecast on July 24. It also projected heavy to very heavy rains in a few locations, with isolated extremely heavy showers, in the districts of Devbhumi Dwarka, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, and Valsad over the next 24 hours.
