Brij Bhushan Singh compares Hooda family to Pandavas, says 'country won't forgive them'

PTC News Desk: BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Sunday compared former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his family to the Pandavas, claiming that just as the Pandavas were not forgiven by the country, neither will the Hooda family.

"In the Mahabharata, Draupadi was gambled away, and the Pandavas lost. The country has yet to forgive the Pandavas for this. Similarly, the Hooda family's disregard for the dignity of our sisters and daughters will not be forgiven in the future. They will always be seen as guilty for this," Singh said.

He made the statement after wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia joined the Congress. Singh claimed their joining shows that the wrestlers' protests against him were part of a plot by the grand old party, with former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda as its head.

The two wrestlers staged a huge protest against Singh in 2023, accusing Brij Bhushan of sexually assaulting several female wrestlers when he was the WFI's chief.

Singh further stated that he is facing three major cases, all of which are subjudice. He stated that his statements are being recorded and that the opposition will be unable to respond as events unfold.
