PTC News Desk: The driver of the BMW that murdered a woman, Mihir Shah, the son of Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah, is gone. A liquor bill of Rs 18,730 has been found from the Juhu pub where the 24-year-old was spotted a few hours before the accident, despite the fact that a lookout circular has been issued and six police teams are searching the area.

The child was allegedly assisted in escaping the accident by the man's father and his driver, who have been placed under custody. The event occurred months after two 24-year-old engineers in Pune were killed in a similar drunk driving case.

As per the current inquiry, Mihir Shah had a late Saturday night drink at a bar in Juhu, after which he was picked up by his driver in the BMW. He took over from him and insisted on driving to Worli. The BMW collided with the scooter belonging to Koliwada residents Kaveri Nakhava and her husband Pradeep Nakhava, who made their living as fish vendors.

The BMW ran over and dragged Kaveri Nakhawa as it left the scene. When she arrived at the hospital, the medical staff pronounced her dead.

A case has been filed under the new Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita criminal code, specifically under clauses that deal with reckless driving, evidence destruction, and culpable homicide that does not amount to murder. Additionally, the Motor Vehicles Act's provisions have been used.

Mihir Shah is the name on the registration. According to police sources, the son of the Sena leader called his dad and informed him about the collision. Since then, he has turned off his phone.
