Blue Whale death game returns: In a tragic and dreadful incident, 15-year-old boy from Pune, Arya Srirao tragically took his own life by jumping from the 14th floor of a building.

As per the reports, Arya's death may have been influenced by the notorious "Blue Whale" game, which has been linked to several suicides globally.

Arya, a class-10 student from Pimpri Chinchwad, left behind a note with the word "logout" written on it.

Police have reported that Arya had become increasingly absorbed in online gaming over the past few months, often isolating himself and spending excessive time on his laptop.

The note also included "XD," possibly referring to the online game he was playing.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Swapna Gore mentioned that an examination of Arya's notebook uncovered detailed maps of his home, coded notes, and a list of players.

Additionally, a paper found in his room detailed a multiplayer combat game and a sketch indicating where he planned to jump from.

Arya’s mother, Swati Srirao, learned of her son's death through a message in their community's WhatsApp group. She described Arya as a boy who was afraid of heights, which makes his actions all the more shocking.

The incident reignited concerns about the "Blue Whale" challenge, a dangerous online game that gained infamy in 2017.

Reports indicate that the Blue Whale Challenge operates primarily through social media platforms, with administrators assigning tasks to participants over the course of 50 days. These tasks start off seemingly innocuous but escalate in intensity, eventually leading participants down a dangerous path towards self-harm and, tragically, suicide.

The tragic death serves as a stark reminder of the profound impact that online phenomena like the Blue Whale Challenge can have on individuals' lives and underscores the importance of proactive measures to protect against such risks.
