'Quit Congress or...': Bajrang Punia receives death threat on WhatsApp

Wrestler Bajrang Punia, who was recently named working chairman of the All India Kisan Congress, received death threats on Sunday. He received the threat from an international number on WhatsApp.

'Quit Congress or...': Bajrang Punia receives death threat on WhatsApp

PTC News Desk: Wrestler Bajrang Punia, who was recently named working chairman of the All India Kisan Congress, received death threats on Sunday. He received the threat from an international number on WhatsApp.

The death threat stated that Bajrang should leave Congress or suffer dire consequences.


"Bajrang, quit Congress; else, it will be bad for you and your family. This is our final message. Before the elections, we will show you what we are. Complain wherever you want; this is our first and final warning."

Punia filed a complaint at the Bahalgarh police station in Sonipat. The police began an investigation into the matter.

Following Bajrang Punia's complaint on receiving a threat, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini said, "It will be investigated if he received any threat message. Action will be taken against the accused..."
