Arvind Kejriwal's sugar level drop, given tea and biscuits in court
PTC Web Desk: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was brought out of the courtroom for tea and biscuits after his sugar levels dropped. The CBI brought the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) before Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi on Wednesday.
Kejriwal was taken to the Ahlmad room with court permission, and his wife Sunita Kejriwal accompanied him. This occurred shortly after the CBI formally arrested him from the courtroom in connection with the Excise Policy case.
The CBI arrested Kejriwal after the Vacation Judge of the Delhi Court allowed the agency to examine him in court before proceeding with his formal arrest. The court also directed the CBI to record the evidence they have for his arrest.
Kejriwal was brought before the court of vacation judge Amitabh Rawat in accordance with the production warrant issued by the court yesterday.
During the hearing, Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, and AAP leader Dilip Pandey were all present.
DP Singh, the CBI's Special Public Prosecutor, extensively argued and opposed Kejriwal's lawyer's submissions. The advocate also filed an application for the supply of applications for interrogation by the CBI, and an order was issued related to that.
Kejriwal was in Tihar Jail yesterday and recorded a statement regarding the Excise Policy case. On March 21, this year, the Enforcement Directorate arrested him in the Excise Policy money laundering case, and he is currently in Judicial custody.
AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj claimed that the CBI's arrest of the Delhi Chief Minister was a conspiracy by the central government.
Taking to X, he wrote, "The conspiracy of the Centre is so clearly visible. The entire case of the Central Government is false. Now that the secrets are being revealed, the CBI will arrest them even before they get bail. And BJP talks about the emergency imposed by Congress 50 years ago."
The party also stated on its official Twitter account that Arvind Kejriwal will not back down, no matter how much pressure is put on him.
"Today when there was every possibility of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal getting bail, the BJP in panic got Kejriwal arrested by CBI through a fake case. CBI took Kejriwal ji to Rouse Avenue Court, where his blood sugar level dropped very low. Dictator, no matter how much oppression you inflict, Kejriwal will neither bow down nor break," the party wrote.
