Arun Yogiraj, artisan behind Ram Lalla idol, says, 'I feel like I am in a dream world'
Ayodhya, January 22: In a historic and joyous moment, the Karnataka sculptor, credited with crafting the exquisite Ram Lalla idol for the Ayodhya Ram Temple, shared his overwhelming sense of gratitude, declaring himself as the "most fortunate individual" on Earth. Arun Yogiraj, the skilled artisan behind this remarkable creation, expressed his feelings, stating, "I feel like I am in a dream world; the blessings of my ancestors, family, and Lord Ram Lalla have always been with me." This sentiment reflects not only personal achievement, but a profound connection to heritage and divine inspiration.
The culmination of this artistic journey was witnessed on Monday during the Pran Pratishtha or consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple, presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister, after observing a series of stringent 11-day religious rituals as part of the preparation for the ceremony, led the auspicious event, symbolising the sanctification of the newly installed idol.
Karnataka sculptor Arun Yogiraj's craftsmanship took centre stage as the 51-inch idol, intricately carved out of black stone, was revealed in its final form. The idol portrays Ram Lalla as a five-year-old standing gracefully on a lotus, a visual embodiment of divinity and innocence. Leading up to this significant ceremony, the idol had been veiled, creating an air of anticipation and reverence.

Prime Minister Modi, on the occasion, expressed his delight, remarking that it is a "great pleasure" to be part of this "divine programme" at the Ram Temple. The event has been likened to a 'Diwali,' drawing parallels to the festive celebrations that marked Ram's triumphant return home after the epic battle with Ravan.
This moment in history not only signifies the completion of the sacred consecration but also emphasises the cultural and spiritual significance attached to the Ram Temple. Arun Yogiraj's craftsmanship has played an instrumental role in bringing to life the divine vision embodied in the idol of Ram Lalla, adding to the sanctity of the revered temple and marking a glorious chapter in the rich tapestry of Indian heritage.
