Army busts Pakistani terrorist hideout in J&K's Poonch; 2 grenades, 3 mines recovered

PTC News Desk: The Indian Army's Romeo Force successfully eliminated a Pakistani terror stronghold in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday. The army was working alongside the Special Operations Group (SOG) police.

As part of the operation, the army recovered two grenades and three Pakistani mines from the hideout, highlighting the ongoing threat in the region.

In response, officials have increased their efforts by conducting extensive searches in Tangmarg and other regions around Jammu & Kashmir.

The Indian Army's initiative seeks to uncover suspects linked to recent terror incidents in Gulmarg, Baramulla, and Gagangir in the Ganderbal District.

The urgency of these military operations arose after the October 24 terrorist attack on a military vehicle, killing two Army soldiers and two civilian porters.

Similarly, a previous incident on October 20 killed a doctor and six construction workers at a tunnel site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway, raising severe concerns about the targeted nature of these attacks.
