Apple store in India: Apple CEO Tim Cook opens India’s second retail store in Delhi
New Delhi, April 20: After Mumbai, Apple CEO Tim Cook finally opened its second official retail store in the national capital today, called the 'Apple Saket.’
'Apple Saket,’ located at the Select Citywalk Mall in Saket was inaugurated by Tim Cook at 10 am.

During the inauguration of Apple Store, Tim Cook met Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the iPhone manufacturer is looking to invest more in the world's second-largest smartphone market.
The Apple Saket store in Delhi is half the size of the Mumbai store where the company will pay a portion of total sales from the store as rent or Rs 40 lakh per month, whichever is higher, according to sources.
The store will have a dedicated Apple Pickup station which makes it easier for customers to order online and collect their devices in-store at a convenient time.
The store has 70-member strong teams who come from 18 states in India and collectively speak more than 15 languages, half of them are women.
Meanwhile, a wave of excitement has been seen among people as scores of people has been seen queued up at Delhi's Select Citywalk Mall in Saket early Thursday morning, before most stores had opened, to witness the opening of India's second Apple Store.

Notably, Tim Cook opened India’s first retail store in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex on Tuesday.
The store opening marks a significant moment for Apple and its fans in India. With the opening of the two stores, the tech giant is set to gain a stronger foothold in the country.
Apple is leveraging India's electronics market growth and has been heavily focusing on manufacturing its products in the country.
Apple started manufacturing its latest iPhone 14 models in India, just days after it had a global unveiling. In India, the US tech giant is partnering with the top three global smartphone manufacturers -- Wistron, Foxconn, and Pegatron.
