PTC News Desk: The 11th President of India and renowned aerospace scientist, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, also known as the "Missile Man of India," will pass away on July 27, 2024.

The day that this great thinker departed us is described on the anniversary of APJ Abdul Kalam's death.


Dr. Abdul Kalam Sir abruptly passed away on July 27, 2015, at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIM Shillong), following a massive heart attack. On this ninth anniversary of Abdul Kalam's demise, we should not undervalue his tremendous contributions to the space projects that made him famous as the "Missile Man of India" and his unwavering loyalty to his nation, which made him known as the "People's President."

His remarkable past positions him as a symbol of nationalism, wisdom, and perseverance, providing the Indian people with ongoing inspiration and direction.

EARLY LIFE AND CONTRIBUTIONS:

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. He was the youngest of five siblings and came from a low-income family.

Despite challenges, he persisted in his education and worked as a newspaper distributor to support his family. Enticed by space and aviation, he studied physics at St. Joseph's College and aeronautical engineering at the Madras Institute of Technology.

With the development of missiles such as Agni and Trishul at ISRO and assistance in the building of hovercraft at DRDO, Kalam's career took off, earning him the title 'Missile Man of India.' As the eleventh president of India, he inspired and developed close relationships with the youth from 2002 to 2007.
