PTC News Desk: Days after a police officer died on duty at farmers' protest site in Haryana - Shambhu border - during the farmers' protest, another officer passed away on Tuesday, according to police.

Exemptee Sub-Inspector (ESI) Kaushal Kumar, who was stationed at the Shambhu Border, suddenly became ill while on duty and was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Ambala, where doctors declared him dead, according to police. He was stationed beneath the bridge, near the Ghaggar River.

Shatrujeet Kapur, Director General of Police, expressed his condolences and prayed for peace to his soul.

Earlier, on February 16, GRP Sub-Inspector Hiralal, stationed at the Shambhu Border, died unexpectedly due to poor health. This makes ESI Kaushal Kumar the second Haryana Police officer killed on duty at the Shambhu Border during the ongoing farmers' protest.

The protesting farmers have been camped at border crossings since the March began on Tuesday, February 13.
