Ambulance in 10 minutes: Blinkit introduces rapid-response ambulance service in Gurugram
PTC Web Desk: In a groundbreaking initiative to transform urban emergency medical services, Blinkit has introduced a rapid-response ambulance service in Gurugram. The service, announced by CEO and co-founder Albinder Dhindsa on January 2, promises aid delivery within 10 minutes.
"Ambulance in 10 minutes. We are taking our first step toward addressing the challenge of providing quick and dependable ambulance services in urban areas," Dhindsa stated. "The first five ambulances will hit the roads in Gurugram starting today. As we expand to other regions, users will be able to book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance through the Blinkit app," he added.

Each ambulance is outfitted with critical life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinders, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), monitors, suction machines, stretchers, and essential emergency medications. To ensure optimal care during emergencies, every vehicle is staffed with a trained paramedic, an assistant, and a qualified driver.
Blinkit's ambulance service operates on a not-for-profit basis, making it accessible and affordable for users. The company has ambitious plans to expand the service to major cities across India over the next two years.
