Amarnath Yatra temporarily suspended due to bad weather
Major update on Amarnath Yatra: The religious Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily suspended due to bad weather conditions as heavy rain lashed several parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily suspended and no pilgrim is being allowed to visit the holy religious shrine.

Due to the heavy showers and thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir, both the routes to the holy cave- Baltal and Pahalgam routes have been temporarily closed.
As per the Amarnath Shrine Board Administration, the yatra will resume when the weather conditions will improve.
As per the data collected, so far 84,768 pilgrims paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine.
Meanwhile, more than 3,00,000 devotees have registered for the Amarnath Yatra 2023.
Notably, the Amarnath Yatra, known as one of the most difficult journeys in Hindu belief began on July 1.
The Amarnath cave, located in Jammu and Kashmir, is a significant pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva. The cave, situated at an altitude of 3888 meters, remains covered in snow throughout the year and opens temporarily in summer as the snow melts.

The cave holds immense religious significance as it is believed that Lord Shiva revealed the secret of life to his wife, Parvati, in this very place.
