Air India all set to purchase 250 aircraft from France’s Airbus
New Delhi, February 14: This is what is called the World’s largest aviation deal in history as Air India is all set to buy 250 aircraft from France's Airbus.
While addressing a virtual meeting, Chairman of Tata Sons stated that, "We have built a very good relationship with Airbus. Today I am happy to announce that we have signed a letter of intent to acquire 250 aircrafts from Airbus."

The signed deal also includes 40 A350 wide-body ultra-long-range aircraft and the rest body will be narrow.
Chandrasekaran also stated that, "We have significant options to increase the fleet orders once we grow."
Several other leaders, industrialist and aviation leaders were also present during the virtual meeting.
Notably, Air India was looking for a remix of aircraft to boost their domestic and international network through recent orders.
In the meanwhile, on the occasion of its first anniversary on Jan 27, Air India sated that airline will transform itself over the next five years to being among the best globally with an Indian heart.
