400 Indigo passengers left stranded in Turkey without food, accommodation; airline responds
PTC News Desk: Around 400 passengers, scheduled to travel between New Delhi and Mumbai, and Turkey have been left stranded at Istanbul airport for over 24 hours leaving passengers in agony. Agitated travelers voiced their frustration on social media claiming inadequate communication from the airline's staff, lack of food, and poor accommodation.
Passengers took to social media to express their distress and claimed that the flight was first delayed and then cancelled without notice. One of the traveler wrote that fight was delayed twice by an hour then cancelled and finally rescheduled after 12 hours leaving passengers stranded.
Another passenger Rohan Raja said that after the 6.40 am flight from Delhi was cancelled, people struggled amid the chilly weather as the airline provided no transport to the accommodations they were allegedly provided.
In response to the complaint of the fliers, Indigo issues a statement addressing the concerns and apologising for the same. In a press statement, the airline said apologised for the "inconvenience caused to the customers".
"We are aware of the delays on the IndiGo flight connections to Istanbul. We accord the highest priority towards customer convenience and out teams are available at all contact points to assist customers. IndiGo apologises for the inconvenience caused to the customers," the airline said.
