4 dead, several injured after oil tanker catches fire at Mumbai-Pune expressway
Oil tanker blast: At least four people have been killed and three injured in a horrific accident reported on Mumbai-Pune expressway, after an oil tanker caught fire following an accident and exploded at Lonavala overbridge.
The exploded oil tanker spilled down from the bridge killing four workers and other injured.
Meanwhile, chemicals from the explosion of the oil tanker fall on the vehicles and people travelling on the road and overbridge.

As per the reports, four motorists sustained injuries due to the explosion.
Notably, various emergency relief agencies, ambulanced and other relief material have been deployed after an explosion took place.
The explosion of an oil tanker also disrupted the traffic movement on Mumbai-Pune expressway.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took to his Twitter handle and expressed grief over the deaths calling it “unfortunate”.
“The incident resulting in the death of four people on the Mumbai-Pune highway is extremely unfortunate. My heartfelt tribute to the victims. Three individuals sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. I pray that they find relief soon. The state police force, highway police, INS Shivaji, and the fire brigade are all present at the scene, and the fire is now under control. Traffic has been restored on one side, and the other side will resume soon. The state government is closely monitoring the situation," tweeted Devendra Fadnavis.
