16 years of 26/11: PM Modi vows strong response to terrorism; highlights Constitution's role in nation's progress
PTC Web Desk: During the Constitution Day celebrations at the Supreme Court on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured a resolute response to threats against India’s security. The Prime Minister also paid tribute to the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
“Today, as we celebrate this festival of democracy, we remember the anniversary of the Mumbai terror attack. I pay homage to the lives lost and reaffirm the nation’s commitment to delivering a strong response to any terrorist organisation challenging India’s security,” he said.
Highlighting the Constitution's importance, PM Modi described it as a "guiding light" for the nation, not just a document for lawyers. He also reflected on its resilience during pivotal moments, including the Emergency era.

“The Constitution has faced significant challenges, including the Emergency, but it continues to guide us forward. Its power is evident today, as Jammu and Kashmir celebrates Constitution Day for the first time, with Babasaheb Ambedkar’s vision now fully implemented there,” he noted.
The Prime Minister emphasised that the full implementation of the Constitution in Jammu and Kashmir marks a historic milestone for the region and the country.
