15-year-old dies after fake doctor performs surgery using YouTube tutorial
PTC News Desk: A 15-year-old boy died in Bihar's Saran district after a 'fake doctor' allegedly conducted surgery to remove a gallbladder stone following YouTube instructions. According to the deceased's family members, they brought the boy to Ganpati Hospital in Saran after he vomited multiple times, and they alleged that the 'doctor' performed the operation without their consent, as reported by NDTV.
When questioned why they took Krishna Kumar to the 'fake' doctor Ajit Kumar Puri, despite questions about his qualifications, the family responded, "We just wanted the vomiting to stop. He performed the operation without our permission."
Krishna Kumar's family stated that they took him to Ganpati Hospital in Saran after he experienced severe vomiting. As his condition deteriorated, the 'doctor' arranged for an ambulance to take him to a hospital in Patna.
"We admitted him, and the vomiting stopped shortly after. However, doctor Ajit Kumar Puri has advised him to undergo surgery. He carried out the operation by watching YouTube videos. My son died later," the family member explained.
According to the report, police have issued a FIR and sent the body for autopsy. Efforts are underway to locate the self-proclaimed doctor and other staff at Ganpati Seva Sadan. Meanwhile, other nursing home patients have been abandoned since the staff disappeared.
