11 flights cancelled, more than 60 trains delayed as dense fog shrouds Delhi
PTC News Desk: As dense fog continues to blanket Delhi and its adjoining areas, at least 11 flights were cancelled today and 95 delayed. The dense fog along with the prevailing cold spell disrupted rail and air services significantly.
At least 11 flights were cancelled and more than 60 trains going to and coming from Delhi running late.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the national capital witnessed unprecedented cold wave conditions with nine-hour zero visibility period, the longest spell this winter season, on Saturday.
As compared to yesterday's nine-hour zero-visibility spell, IGI Airport witnessed a relatively reduced 4 hours of zero visibility today. Delhi's pollution levels remained in the 'poor' category with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reported at 377 at 6 am today, as per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data.
