Nagar Kirtan taken out ahead of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s parkash purb in Amritsar An impressive nagar kirtan to mark the birth anniversary of tenth Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh ji was taken out by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) from Akal Takht on Saturday. Sikh’s holiest book Guru Granth Sahib was placed on a golden palanquin, decorated with flowers. [caption id="attachment_239672" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Nagar Kirtan taken out ahead of of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s parkash purb in Amritsar[/caption] The procession started from Akal Takht and moved through Sri Guru Ram Das Niwas, the Brahm Butta market, Chowk Ghanta Ghar, Bazaar Mai Sewa, Bazar Kathia, Bazar Papra, Bazar Bansa, Chowk Chatti Khoo, Chawal Mandi, Kanak Mandi, Dhab Wasti Ram, Chowk Chintpurni, Jaura Pipal, Chowk Chabutra, Chowk Jai Singh, Chowk Moni, Chowk Krori, Chowk Manna Singh and Chowk Pragdas.The procession ended at Akal Takht sahib.
