Mobile internet services to remain shut in Assam districts to curb cheating
Assam, August 21: As Assam is all geared up to hold the recruitment exam to fill the 30,000 government posts in various departments- the largest recruitment drive in the state, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa ordered suspension of mobile internet services around the examination centres during the examination hour. Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed around the examination centres and also tight security measures have been assured. The examination will be conducted in the 25 districts and one nodal officer will be appointed in each of the districts. Along with the nodal officers, government gazetted officers will also be appointed to review the ongoing examination process make sure that SOPs are properly executed. Two videographers will also be designated at the examination centres to record all the happenings that will be taking place. Also, no candidate shall be allowed to re-enter the examination center once that particular shift gets over. Not to mention, students along with the invigilators carrying mobile phones will be barred from the centre. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa held a virtual meeting with deputy commissioners and other stakeholders and reviewed the examination arrangements. -PTC NEWS
