Man tests positive for Covid, Monkeypox and HIV at same time
Chandigarh, August 25: In a bizarre case, Italian man tested positive for Covid-19, Monkeypox and HIV at the same time. This has been the first ever case globally that a man tested positive for the three deadly viruses at the same time. Also Read: Sidhu Moosewala’s new song ‘Jaandi Vaar’ to be out soon As per the reports published in the Journal of Infection, symptoms seen in the patient are developed fever, a sore throat, fatigue, headache and inflammation of the groin area, skin rashes on face and other parts of body, formulation of pustules, enlargement of the liver and spleen and painful enlargement of the lymph nodes too were noticed. As per the sources, man developed the symptoms nine days after he returned from a trip to Spain. He tested positive for Covid three days after the symptoms were observed and was admitted to hospital. His reports confirmed that he is positive for Monkeypox, HIV and sequence of SARS-CoV-2 genome. Omicron sub-variant BA.5.1 was also noticed in his reports. His case was published in the Journal of Infection on August 19.
