Chandigarh: Major fire in Lakhnaur furniture market; 17 shops gutted
17 shops were gutted when a major a fire broke out in the furniture market of Lakhnaur in Mohali on Sunday morning. Furniture worth Rs 10 crore was destroyed.

The fire that started around 4 AM and spread fast, engulfing all 17 shops in the market.

It took 3 fire tenders from Mohali, Chandigarh and one hour to douse the fire.

The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. The fire started in one shop and it spread so fast. There were 17 shops.
