Madhya Pradesh: Man vaccinates 30 students with one syringe, probe on
Madhya Pradesh, July 28: In a shocking violation of the single-use of syringe procedure, a vaccinator in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar administered the Covid-19 vaccine to thirty students using a single syringe on Wednesday.
The vaccinator identified as Jitendra alleged that authorities sent only one syringe and he was ordered by the "head of department" to vaccinate all the children with it. According to a video recorded by the parents of the students, the vaccinator claimed that he did not know her name.
"The person who delivered the materials only gave a single syringe," Jitendra is heard saying in a video.
On being asked if he was aware that one syringe should not be used to inject multiple people, Jitendra said, "I know that. This is why I asked them if I have to use just one syringe and they said 'yes'. How is this my fault? I did what I was asked to do."

As the incident came to light, the Sagar district administration filed a first information report against Jitendra for negligence and blatantly violating the "one needle, one syringe, one time" mandate of the Central government.
CMHO DK Goswami further said, "We have got the complaint, and the probe is underway. Stringent action will be taken against those found guilty."
Since HIV first started to spread in the 1990s, disposable syringes which are meant for single use have been available.
