Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 76 after Ludhiana reported new positive case
The total number of confirmed cases in Punjab has increased to 76 after fresh cases were reported from Fatehgarh Sahib, Ropar, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Mohali and Amritsar on Monday. According to the information, Fatehgarh Sahib and Ropar reported 2 cases each while one case was reported each from Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Mohali, and Amritsar. A 54-year-old man tested positive for coronavirus in Ludhiana. He is a resident of the Chaukiman area in Jagraon, Ludhiana. He is being suspected of attending a religious congregation at Nizamuddin in Delhi. A resident of Sector 68 in Mohali, tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. Likewise, two primary contacts of coronavirus patient, a 52-year-old woman and 16-year-old son tested positive for coronavirus in Ropar. Meanwhile, a 17-year-old boy tested positive for coronavirus in Kapurthala. Reportedly, he had attended Tablighi Jamaat in Nizamuddin, Delhi. He is a resident of Kot Karar Khan village in Kapurthala Tehsil, however, he was residing in a mosque along with other Jamaatis. Two cases were reported from Fatehgarh Sahib. Likewise, his contacts are being traced to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Similarly, a case was reported from Amritsar.
