‘Kisan Morcha’ Highlights: Protesting farmers sit on dharna on Mohali-Chandigarh border
Chandigarh: May 17: Amid heavy deployment of police force, farmer bodies have launched a dharna at YPS Chowk on the Mohali-Chandigarh border. They are protesting against the Punjab Government on various issues, including delay in sowing amid power and water shortage. The protesting farmers are adamant that they won't leave without meeting Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is in Delhi to meet AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal to discuss 'Kisan Morcha'. A farmer leader said they had given a one-day ultimatum to the Punjab Government. They were not ready to meet any official or Cabinet ministers. "We will not budge till oyr meeting is arrange with CM Bhagwant Mann," said protesting farmer leaders.
