SBI PO Recruitment: Exam dates out for 600 vacancies, admit card release in February

PTC Web Desk: The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the exam dates for the Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment under the SBI PO Recruitment 2024 drive. The preliminary exams are scheduled to take place on March 8, 16, and 24, 2025. Applicants who registered for these vacancies can view the official notification on the SBI website at sbi.co.in.

Initially, the SBI announced that the Phase I preliminary exams would be conducted on March 8 and 15. The admit cards for the prelims are expected to be released in the third or fourth week of February 2025.


This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 600 vacancies, which include 586 regular posts and 14 backlog positions. Candidates selected for the PO roles will receive a starting salary of Rs 41,960 per month.

Candidates who qualify for the Phase I prelims will be eligible to appear for the Phase II main examination, which is expected to be conducted in April or May 2025. The main exam will be conducted online and is divided into two parts:

Objective Section: Lasting three hours and carrying 200 marks, this section will assess candidates' knowledge and analytical abilities.

Descriptive Section: Conducted immediately after the objective test, this section carries 50 marks and includes an essay and a letter-writing task.

Those who pass the main examination will be invited for an interview and document verification.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the SBI PO exam, candidates must:

Hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification acknowledged by the Central Government.

Be between 21 and 30 years of age.
