International Men Day 2020: The world is celebrating International Men's Day, which is observed every year on November 19. It celebrates the achievements and contributions of men and boys to the nation, society, community, family, marriage, and childcare.
The ultimate aim of International Men's day is to promote basic humanitarian values.

History
World Men's Day day was initiated in 1992 on February 7 by Thomas Oaster while in 1999, the event was revived by Jerome Teelucksing.
Jerome chose November 19 to honour his father's birthday and to celebrate how on that date in 1989, Trinidad and Tobago's football team united the country with their endeavours to qualify for the World Cup.

In India, the inaugural celebration was organised by the leading Indian Men's rights organisation on November 19, 2007. Since then, it is celebrated every year.
International Men Day 2020 theme
This year, the theme is 'Better health for men and boys' in an order to make practical improvements in the health and wellbeing of the male population.
