India logs 4,858 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours
India Covid Update: India reported 4,858 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, informed the ministry of health and family welfare on Monday.
With the newly reported cases, the country's active caseload stands at 48,027.
Meanwhile, India witnessed 4,735 recoveries in the last 24 hours, informed the health ministry. With this, the total recovery rate has reached around 98.71 per cent and total recoveries data reached 4,39,57,929.
According to the latest Covid update, the daily positivity rate has been reported at 2.76 per cent.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus deaths has risen to 5,28.355. A total of 2,16,70,14,127 people were vaccinated.
As part of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, the Government of India has been providing free Covid vaccines to states and union territories. In the new phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, the Union Government would procure and supply (at no cost) to States and UTs 75 per cent of the vaccines manufactured in the country by vaccine manufacturers.
