IAF show: President Murmu likely to visit Chandigarh on October 8
Chandigarh, September 26: President Droupadi Murmu is likely to attend the Indian Air Force (IAF) show at Sukhna Lake on October 8. However, there is no confirmation about the President's Chandigarh visit. Rashtrapati Bhavan may release the official letter of confirmation in a few days. To commemorate IAF Day, the IAF will conduct an hour-long air show near the lake. The IAF will display its full firepower outside an air force station for the first time. The Indian Air Force Day is observed to honour its services to national defence and development. The IAF was founded on October 8, 1932. The building is estimated to cost around Rs 70 crore and has a plot area of 2.63 acres with a total covered area of 2,14,816 sq ft. During her visit, the President is also likely to attend the convocation at Punjab Engineering College as Chief Guest.
