Farmers protest: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday cited a media report claiming that 11 farmers died in the last 17 days amid protest against the farm laws 2020. At least five rounds of talks have been held between the Central government and the farmers' representatives, but the deadlock continued as farmers demand the repeal of the three contentious laws while the Centre tries to convince them for amendments. He tagged a media report that claimed that 11 farmers had died in the past 17 days during protest due to various reasons like ill health or a mishap. Meanwhile, the Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that despite "martyrdom of 11 farmers in the last 17 days, the Modi government is not relenting".
