Himachal Pradesh : Schoolchildren among 16 killed as private bus falls into gorge
Chandigarh, July 4: Tragic bus accident is reported in Himachal Pradesh's Sanj valley of Kullu district. A private bus coming from Shanshar towards Sanj fell down from the road near Jangla village. The bus is reported to have 35 to 40 passengers on board. The death toll could rise. Relief work has begun. Several school children were travelling on the bus. "The school bus was en-route from Kullu-to Sainj on Neoli-Shansher road in Sainj valley. Death numbers may rise. The rescue operation is underway," said Kullu Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg. Meanwhile, the injured are being shifted to local hospitals in Kullu. Medical and rescue teams from Kullu have moved to the site of the mishap. -PTC News
