High Court issues notice to Punjab government, seeks security status of churches
Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice to the government regarding the security of churches in Punjab. The High Court has sought a status report from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. It is known that a few days ago some people vandalized the church in Tarn Taran at night. Later the pastor's car was also burnt. National Christian League and Sukhjinder Singh of Chandigarh had filed a petition in the High Court against this.

In the case of the security of churches, the High Court has issued a notice to the Punjab government. In the petition filed in the High Court, it was said that if the police did not take action, there could be communal riots in Punjab. After the incident at Tarn Taran Church, the Christian community is feeling insecure. He demanded instructions to the Punjab Police and the government for the protection of the churches and the Christian community.
A few days ago, some people attacked the church in the middle of the night in Tarn Taran. Vandalizing the head of the statue of Lord Jesus and Mother Mary outside the church. The pastor's car was also set on fire. In this regard, the Christian community also had to stage a protest for justice. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera. After this, the police have registered a case and initiated investigation into the matter.
