Chamoli, July 20: Hemkund Sahib Yatra has been temporarily suspended as the cloudburst hits Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district. Police said that due to heavy rain and cloudburst, the water level of Laxman Ganga and Paturi canal has increased, due to which they have advised all passengers to remain at their place for today and on 21/07/2022 in view of the possibility of an accident on Hemkund Sahib Road. Chamoli Police shared the information through a tweet from its official Twitter handle and said that “Travellers are requested to start their journey only when the weather is fine. Take care, stay safe."
