HC orders status quo in Mohali panchayat land grabbing case
Mohali, August 9: In a major blow to the Punjab Government, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday ordered status quo in the Mohali panchayat land grabbing case.
The High Court has put a stay on further proceedings in the panchayat land grabbing case and ordered to maintain status quo on 1,200 acre of panchayat land.

The High Court also issued a notice to the Punjab Government and sought its response.
Meanwhile, when the HC questioned lawyers from the Panchayat Department, they were unable to give a satisfactory answer. The next fate of hearing has been fixed for August 22.
