HC grants interim relief to Gurpreet Kaur, wife of AAP MLA Harmit Singh Pathanmajra
Chandigarh, September 21: The High Court on Wednesday heard the case filed by Gurpreet Kaur, wife of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Harmit Singh Pathanmajra.
During the hearing, the High Court sought response from the Punjab government and asked about the status of the investigation being done in the case.
In its response, the Punjab Government informed the HC that security has been provided to Gurpreet Kaur.
Meanwhile, the High Court granted interim relief to Gurpreet Kaur in a case filed against her under IT Act.

The HC has scheduled the matter for a hearing on November 15.
Notably, Gurpreet has accused her husband and the Sanaur MLA of assault and threatening to kill her. After this, MLA Pathanmajra accused her wife of making an objectionable video viral and pressuring him to indulge in corruption and filed a complaint with the police.
A case has been registered against Gurpreet at the Jhulkan police station.
