Haryana Special Assembly Session: Anil Vij terms Punjab's resolution on Chandigarh 'mischievous'

Chandigarh, April 5: Flaying the AAP-led Punjab Government over staking claim to Chandigarh during the special session of the Haryana Assembly, Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij on Tuesday alleged that Punjab was soon going to face Sri Lanka-like crisis. Anil Vij said the resolution passed by Punjab was a "political mischievous resolution" as the Punjab Government was aware of the promises it made that could not be fulfilled. Referring to the SYL issue, Haryana minister Ail Vij said in both Punjab and Haryana divisions, all commissions did not do justice to Haryana. "Despite fighting long battles, no progress has been made. Haryana hasn't been able to get SYL water. Haryana's economic growth is way more than that of Punjab," says Vij. He alleged that Haryana CM ML Khattar made no attempts to take up the matter with PM Narendra Modi. He alleged only attempts were made to delay it.
