Haryana CM Saini presents state budget for 2025-26, announces new department, measures to curb dunkey route migration
PTC News Desk: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini proposed Rs 2.05 lakh crore state budget for 2025-26 fiscal during the ongoing session of the Haryana Assembly on Monday. CM Saini in his maiden address said that out of the 217 manifesto promises, 19 have already been fulfilled.
Saini announced an interest-free loan of up to Rs 1 lakh for women dairy farmers, a new horticulture policy, and a special project for farmers in Morni Hills.
In order to make Haryana future ready, government has announced a new department 'Department of Future' to be established. In addition, the proposed AI mission with the World Bank pledging Rs 474 crore in support will facilitate establishment of AI hubs in Gurugram and Panchkula. The government will also encourage private investors to create a Rs 2,000 crore "Fund of Funds" to support startups.
Additionally, in order to tackle growing drug menace, Substance Abuse and Narcotics Knowledge Awareness and Liberation Program Authority (SANKALP) will be established with Rs 10 crore initially allocated for the authority.
Haryana government also emphasised on measures to curb 'dunkey route' migration and in view of that a bill will be introduced in this session.
