Harsh Vardhan compares COVID-19 vaccine to 'Sanjeevani'
COVID-19 vaccination drive in India: After taking a shot of COVAXIN, Bharat Biotech's COVID-19 vaccine, the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday compared it to Sanjeevani. He said that "We've been administered Covaxin." This COVID-19 vaccine will work as 'Sanjeevani', he said, adding that Hanuman Ji crossed India to get it, but this 'Sanjeevani' was available at your nearby private and government facilities. He further said that despite the initial glitches, about 34 lakh registrations were made on CoWIN platform by the last night. Meanwhile, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS, Patna. On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had received the first dose of COVAXIN. Thus, the BJP President JP Nadda said that "Prime Minister Narendra Modi by taking the COVID-19 vaccine yesterday has given a clear message that we must participate in the COVID-19 vaccination drive in India."
